Cranberry brie puff pastry bites

I love the holiday season each year, and one of the best things that we get to eat during that time are cranberries. Not like you can eat them straight, which if you ever tried haha on you. But after I make my cranberry sauce from scratch, which video is here:

I love using up the sauce for other recipes. Instead this year I batched up the sauce and used some of it to make this easy and tasty appetizer for the family to munch on. It’s only 3 ingredients and a must try recipe if you want to fancy things up a bit this season!

Grocery list:
(makes 12 bites)
1 sheet of puff pastry
1/2 cup cranberry sauce
12 pieces 1/2” cut brie cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Cut a pastry sheet into 12 squares.

3. Using a mini muffin tin, take a pastry square and place the pastry into the cup, pressing down around the edges.

4. Add a piece of brie to the bottom of each pastry square, then top off with 1 to 1 1/2 tsp of cranberry jam.

5. Optional- Pinch the top corners on each side of the pastry squares to create a pouch. Once it is done baking, it will have a blossom look to it.

6. Once the bites are made up, place into the oven at 425 degrees and bake for 10–13 minutes.

7. Best if served immediately, but if you have any leftover, you can keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat in the toaster oven for best results.
